Highly fluorescent and solvatochromic phenazine-diamines: the role of non-conjugating substituents

Sourav Nandi, Satyabrata Behera, Chidambar Kulkarni

We report a strategy to achieve both high PLQY across a range of solvent polarities and solvatochromism, a rarely observed combination in π-conjugated molecules. The heteroatoms of phenazine and its substituents govern the observed properties.
