High-field magnetic behavior of polycrystalline dysprosium and thulium tetraborides

Measurements have been made on the magnetic parameters of the rare-earth tetraborides DyB4 and TmB4; the 4.2°K magnetization isotherms show kinks arising from metamagnetic transitions. The nature of these transitions is discussed.
