High Efficiency Power Supply Operating and Control Method for Active Sonar System
Daewoo Kwak, Joonhyeok Oh, Junki Heo, Youngse KimThe active sonar system for underwater target detection has the characteristic that the load of transducer varies according to the operating conditions, and a lot of power is consumed to improve the detection performance. To improve this, it is important to use the power generation of the battleships efficiently. the existing method was to operating multiple power converter modules, simultaneously, which shows the efficiency characteristics corresponding to the average of the parallel modules. Therefore, in this paper presents a method of improving the control method and structure od the power supply for efficient active power operation and proposes an efficient methode unver various load conditions by suggestinf the operation method and control method od the power supply according to the load. As a result, an effective control structure that can follow the highest power efficiency under mid-low load conditions of 70 % or less was suggested.
