Objective:

Measuring health using indicators that provide traceability in companies is complex, especially when these variables must reflect health status and economic impact.

Methods:

The health risk index is a new indicator that provides a quantitative assessment of the overall health status within the company in relation to productivity indicators. One business unit was analyzed over a period of 18 months, and 11 business units over a period of 6 months.

Results:

The correlation was analyzed, revealing that it is not affected by the number of employees, but rather by the percentage of employees with different health statuses within the company.

Conclusion:

This index allows the creation of action plans for improving health and safety based on data, aligned with the company's overall vision, for the benefit of the company and its employees.
