The GUIDE-AI initiative aims to develop AI-powered guideline navigators for healthcare professionals and patients, enabling access to evidence-based recommendations while ensuring clinical judgment and patient context remain central to care. Clinical practice guidelines exist to support healthcare professionals in evidence-based decision making. However, clinical practice documents are often long, published in formats not meant for AI-based decision support systems, and updated frequently. As AI-based decision support becomes more relevant, so too does healthcare professional autonomy and judgement in guiding patient care.
