Iqbal Rafiqi, Murniah Sarah, Abdul Hakim

The integration of green banking within Islamic financial institutions has become an increasingly prominent discourse in sustainable finance. Objective: This study aims to analyze the publication trends and thematic mapping of green banking research applied to Islamic bank financing products in Indonesia between 2019 and 2024. Methodology: A bibliometric analysis was conducted using a dataset of 60 peer-reviewed articles retrieved from Google Scholar, with network visualization and co occurrence analysis executed via VOSviewer software. Findings: The results demonstrate a consistent annual growth in publication volume. Thematic clustering reveals three dominant research streams: (1) the policy alignment of green banking principles with Sharia-compliant financing products, (2) the empirical impact of sustainable practices on financial performance and profitability, and (3) the role of technological innovation in fostering green banking adoption. Implication: This research contributes to the academic literature on sustainable Islamic finance and offers strategic insights for regulators and banking practitioners to enhance sustainable banking frameworks in Indonesia.
