Globular clusters of the Galactic bulge

Sergio Ortolani, Beatriz Barbuy, Eduardo Bica, Domenico Nardiello

Abstract

In this contribution we briefly summarize the recent development of the study of the globular clusters located in the Galactic Bulge, starting with our first CCD observations, in the late 80’s and early 90’s, of NGC 6553, NGC 6528, and Terzan 1. The results clearly indicate that the bulge clusters contains a relevant fraction of the total globular cluster Galactic family, and they host among the oldest stars in the Galaxy. Some peculiarities are addressed.
