Gender Equity Fatigue: Reinvigorating Organizational Efforts With Technology

Abstract

Progress toward gender equality in leadership, in both the United States and globally, has largely stalled. This revolution has been shelved for various reasons, with many organizations characterized by gender fatigue—deprioritizing a focus on gender equity initiatives. In this chapter the authors ask, what can be done to reinvigorate efforts toward women’s equal representation in leadership? The authors see new technology and open information as tools that even under-resourced organizations may access to renew and refine efforts toward advancing women leaders. And the article offers practical, accessible examples of these solutions.
