From scattered data to actionable knowledge: European Climate and Health Observatory

The European Climate and Health Observatory is an initiative of the European Commission, co-managed by the EEA. Currently in its 6th year, the Observatory compiles data and information on climate impacts and adaptation solutions from a variety of sources. This session will focus on the interactive data viewers in the Observatory portal, which combine population characteristics or location of social facilities with climate hazard data. This approach allows estimating the exposure to heat, flooding or wildfires across Europe to facilitate the understanding of both past and future threats to human health from the changing climate.
