FORENSIC EXAMINATION OF THE SCALP INJURIES BOTH BEFORE AND AFTER THEIR SURGICAL TREATMENT, IN PARTICULAR WITH THE USE OF IODINE-CONTAINING ANTISEPTIC MEDICATIONS AND DRESSINGS (according to the results of multislice computed tomography)
A. LEBED', A. KOVALEVThe authors have analyzed results of multislice computed tomography of the patients’ heads with scalp injuries. According to the MSCT results of the patients with craniocerebral injuries the morphological features of the scalp injuries (abrasions, wounds and focal hemorrhages into the surrounding soft tissues) were visualized and subjected to forensic examination both before and after their surgical treatment, in particular with the use of iodine-containing antiseptic medications and dressings. The article also contains practical recommendations for the forensic experts and radiologists in order to avoid diagnostic and expert errors.
