Abstract

Two specimens of the North American species, Acanalonia conica (Say, 1830), also known as the green cone‐headed planthopper, were collected in light traps. One was caught in Krasnodar City in 2024, and one in the surroundings of Pokrovsky village in 2025. A. conica has recently been recorded in several European countries. This suggests that the species has high migration activity and invasive potential. This paper presents the first record of A. conica and of the planthopper family Acanaloniidae Amyot et Audinet‐Serville, 1843 (Hemiptera: Fulgoroidea) in the Russian Federation.
