First Aid Self-Efficacy Regarding Home Accidents and Related Factors Among Mothers of Children Aged 0–4 Years

Objective: Home accidents are a significant public health issue during early childhood, and children aged 0–4 are more vulnerable to these accidents due to their developmental characteristics. This study was conducted to determine the levels of first aid self-efficacy regarding home accidents among mothers of children aged 0–4 and to identify the associated factors.Methods: This descriptive and correlational study was conducted online between February 2026- June 2026. The study included 133 mothers living in Turkey with children aged 0–4 years. Mothers were recruited using convenience sampling. Data were collected using a mother-child demographic information form and the First Aid in Home Accidents Self-Efficacy Scale. Data were statistically analyzed at a 95% confidence level.Results: The mean age of the mothers was 36.1±6.13, and the mean total scale score was 42.3±9.13.
