Features of the relationship between professional burnout and the life energy of specialists in extreme professions
Kristina ZhukWorld history shows that military operations take place in the world every century, with only minor differences in technical capabilities, but the human factor remains an integral part of these events. Specialized individuals hone their abilities at all levels, including psychological, physical, and physiological, to successfully complete their tasks. Studying the relationship between professional burnout and subjective vitality will provide valuable insights into the specific needs of employees deployed in challenging environments. Objective: to establish the relationship between the features of professional burnout and subjective vitality in employees who performed tasks under special conditions of service. Materials and methods: the sample consisted of 48 police officers. The average age of the employees was 36.3. All respondents were male. The methods used in the study include the Semantic Differential "Assessment of One's Own Vital Energy" by T.V. Maltseva and the "Professional Burnout Questionnaire for Law Enforcement Officers" (K. Maslach, S. Jackson, adapted by N.E. Vodopyanova). Conclusions: relationships between burnout and subjective vitality have been found. The reversed scale of personal achievement reduction is most strongly associated with vitality. The key predictor of energy is the experience of one's own effectiveness, rather than the absence of fatigue. From this perspective, burnout is primarily triggered by a loss of sense of competence.
