This study conducts a fatigue analysis of the PW-E3 turbine vane using a coupled thermal–fluid–structural simulation approach. The analysis investigates the influence of cooling holes and compares aerodynamic pressure and thermal stress contributions to fatigue-life reduction. Multiphysics simulations are employed to model thermal and aerodynamic loads, highlighting high temperatures as a critical factor in turbine vane failure. Stress intensity factors and fatigue life are evaluated, revealing that although cooling holes effectively reduce the vane’s overall temperature below the material’s melting point, they also introduce localized stress concentrations and increase the risk of fatigue-induced fractures.
