Factors Contributing to the Cultural Values and Ethical Standards in Party newspapers
HA Huy Phuong‘Culture’ refers to the material and spiritual values created by nature, society, and individuals which is acknowledged, preserved, and promoted by humans. ‘Ethic’ are standards set by society to regulate the activities of individuals with themselves and with the community. ‘Party newspapers’ are defined as the media agencies of the Communist Party of Vietnam at both central and local levels. Culture and ethics within Party newspapers constitute the values and standards established to serve as motivation, guiding the journalistic workforces in creating media products that are effective and influential in communication. This article discusses the factors that contribute to the cultural values and ethical standards in Party newspapers, aiming to make the press truly the voice of the Party, the State, and the democratic, public forum of the people.
