Exponential Stability of Traveling Waves with Application to Structured Population Dynamics

Muhammad Irfan Ullah, Qura Tul Ain

We investigate the dynamical stability of traveling-wave solutions in a scalar, age-structured model that incorporates nonlocal dispersal. By combining a comparison argument with a weighted-energy framework tailored to the convolution-type operator, we prove that traveling waves of non-critical speed are exponentially stable under appropriately weighted perturbations after integration over age. Numerical experiments illustrate the qualitative content of the decay result and the structure of the resulting rate bound.
