Amylase can inhibit starch foaming at a macroscopic level. Amylase-modified corn starch-based hard carbon (ACHC-1400) has more closed pores, exhibits a high discharge specific capacity of 338.9 mAh g −1 at a current density of 35 mA g −1 .
