EXPERIMENTAL AND ANALYTICAL INVESTIGATION OF BIOCIDAL SUBSTANCES FOR DISINFECTION OF PREMISES IN THE PRESENCE OF PEOPLE DURING EMERGENCY SITUATIONS
Olga Lozhkina, Alexander SavinovTaking into account the threat of spread of new dangerous pathogens (such as SARS-CoV-2) and natural disasters often accompanied by infectious disease, there is a pressing need to find and choose, basing on experimental investigations, effective combinations of disinfectant substances approved for the surface disinfection in the presence of people. The paper describes the results of experimental microbiological studies on the decontamination of smooth surfaces. These studies confirmed the efficacy of a formulation containing 4,5 % quaternary ammonium compounds (QACs) and 1 % triamine (at concentrations of 0,15 % and 0,25 % with exposure times of 60 and 45 minutes) and a formulation containing 5,5 % QACs and 2 % polyhexamethylene guanidine phosphate (at concentrations ranging from 0,15 % to 0,8 % with exposure times ranging from 60 to 5 minutes). The paper also analyzes scientific data from other authors regarding the inactivation efficacy of disinfectant compositions based on the similar substances.
