Examining the Relationship Between Sports Science Students' Perception of Artificial Intelligence and Their Job Search Anxiety

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the attitudes of students at Marmara University Faculty of Sports Sciences toward artificial intelligence and their job se-arch anxieties. The study was conducted within the scope of a correlational survey model. The population of the study consisted of 309 volunteer students selected by simple random samp-ling from the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Marmara University in the 2025–2026 academic year. The Personal Information Form, the General Attitude Scale Towards Artificial Intelligen-ce, and the Sports Sciences Students' Job Search Anxiety Scale were used in the data collection process. Descriptive statistics, independent samples t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), and Pearson correlation analysis were applied in the analysis of the data.According to the research findings, students' positive and negative attitudes towards artificial intelligence did not show significant differences according to the variables of gender, age, class, and natio-nality. However, it was determined that job search anxiety was significantly higher among fe-male students than male students. In terms of department variable, it was found that manage-ment department students' negative attitudes toward artificial intelligence were higher than those of coaching department students. Correlation analysis results show a low-level, negative relationship between negative attitudes toward artificial intelligence and job search anxiety.In conclusion, it can be said that attitudes toward artificial intelligence explain job search anxiety to a limited extent, but they form an important context in sports science students' perceptions of their professional future. In this regard, it is recommended that content aimed at increasing ar-tificial intelligence literacy be developed in sports science education programs.
