Emily A. Duncan, Sujoung Shim, P. Jordan Schwab, Shaun Casteel, Darcy E. P. TelenkoSudden death syndrome (SDS), caused by Fusarium virguliforme , can cause major yield losses in soybean. This disease is likely to occur when the weather is cool and moist. This report evaluates effect of planting date and sulfur fertilizer applications for the management of SDS on soybean ( Glycine max ‘P31A73E’). The trial was conducted in 2025 in a research field in West Lafayette, Indiana. SDS foliar disease incidence (DI) and index (FDX), root rot, and yield data were collected. Results from this trial will help growers understand the impact planting date and sulfur fertilizer have on sudden death syndrome.
