Objective: This study aimed to evaluate systemic inflammation in individuals with smoking addiction using the systemic immune inflammation index (SII), the systemic inflammatory response index (SIRI) and the aggregate index of systemic inflammation (AISI) parameters. Methods: A total of 116 people, including 53 smoking addiction (SA) and 63 healthy control (HC), were included in this study. The study used routine peripheral complete blood count results for patients and calculated inflammation indices. Results: SIRI and AISI were significantly higher in the SA group compared to the HC group. SII levels were higher but not statistically significant. The highest AUC values were observed for SIRI and AISI.Conclusion: In conclusion, SII, SIRI, and AISI levels were significantly higher in individuals with smoking addiction compared to healthy controls. Among these indices, SIRI and AISI demonstrated higher AUC values in ROC analysis. These findings suggest that these inflammation-based indices may reflect systemic inflammatory status in smokers. Further prospective studies are needed to clarify their clinical significance.
