Erratum: “Exact radially symmetric solutions to n -dimensional space–time fractional diffusion equations: Resolution of singularities via generalized Hankel transforms” [AIP Advances 16, 015318 (2026)]

This Erratum is initiated and developed by Chishtie, the sole author of Chishtie [AIP Adv. 16, 015318 (2026)], to correct several interrelated errors identified during subsequent review of the original article. The corrections, each established by direct mathematical derivation and verified numerically, affect the inverse Hankel transform pair, the integral and closed-form representations of the Green’s function in two and three dimensions, the Mittag-Leffler integral identity used in the boundedness proof, the statement of Theorem 4, the identification of the initial-value problems solved by the Riemann–Liouville and Caputo transform solutions, the Fox H-function representation, the far-field asymptotics of Theorem 6, the strict positivity theorem, the anomalous diffusion exponent, and the treatment of the second moment in the Lévy-stable regime, which is replaced by a rigorous fractional-moment formulation. The principal qualitative findings of the original article are preserved in their corrected form within the pure space-fractional regime that contains the article’s empirical correspondences with Okubo’s and Richardson’s superdiffusive scaling laws.
