Erosion: Water, Race, and Power in the Mississippi Delta
Linda ChaversThe poem that opens this piece (“Erosion”) was written following a research visit to Louisiana’s waterways by the Aqueous Territories Working Group and presented at the Aqueous Territories conference, Exeter, January 2025. I then explore the academic implications of its context in my “Discussion” section, or rather what the poem could not say directly, which is why the poem had to come first.
