ABSTRACT

This study examines the relationships among entrepreneurial orientation (EO), entrepreneurial agility (EA), and sustainable enterprise growth (SEG) in manufacturing SMEs in Ghana, drawing on Dynamic Capability Theory. A quantitative design was used, with data collected from registered SMEs across key industrial regions via simple random sampling. The respondents included owner‐managers and senior executives, and structured questionnaires were used to measure EO, EA, and SEG using established Likert‐scale items adapted from prior studies. Validity and reliability were ensured through expert review, pilot testing, and statistical checks, including Cronbach's alpha, composite reliability, and AVE. Common method bias was addressed through procedural controls and multicollinearity tests. Data were analyzed using PLS‐SEM to test direct, mediating, and moderating effects. The findings show that EO positively influences both EA and SEG, whereas EA significantly enhances SEG. Moreover, EA partially mediated and reinforced the EO–SEG relationship. Overall, the results support the Dynamic Capability Theory, demonstrating that sustainable growth in SMEs depends on the combined development of entrepreneurial orientation and agility capabilities.
