ENSURING THE ECONOMIC SECURITY OF SINGLE‑INDUSTRY CITIES: PROBLEMS, MECHANISMS, AND DIRECTIONS OF SPATIAL DEVELOPMENT

The main approaches to improving the economic security system in single‑industry towns are considered; these approaches are aimed at reducing development imbalances and creating conditions for maintaining the safe functioning of the economy of single‑industry towns. It is emphasized that a differentiated system for managing the development of single‑industry towns will make it possible to move away from equalizing support and to increase the level of economic security through the economic independence and internal self‑organization of single‑industry towns.
