Enhancing the electrocatalytic performance of NiTe 2 single crystals by Se substitution under acidic and alkaline conditions for the hydrogen evolution reaction
Jing Fang, Qingyan Li, Zilong Xie, Yuhang Yang, Haisen Liu, Bin Liu, Li Sun, Lei Gao, Jianchen LuSe substitution induces lattice contraction and modulates electronic structure to optimize ΔG H* . Electrochemical tests and DFT calculations verify that moderate Se substitution enhances HER activity in acidic and alkaline media.
