Enhancing Personal Quality among Department Heads at Shaqra University: A Proposed Model
Hassan bin Abdulaziz Al-DawoodThis study aimed to examine the extent to which heads of departments at Shaqra University apply personal quality standards from the perspective of faculty members, and to develop a proposed model for enhancing personal quality, The study employed the descriptive survey methodology, using a questionnaire as the primary data collection instrument, The questionnaire was administered to a sample of 400 faculty members at Shaqra University. The findings indicated that the overall level of application of personal quality dimensions by heads of departments was moderate, with an overall mean score of 2.93 out of 4.00, The dimension of interpersonal relationships ranked first, followed by effective communication, work effectiveness, and positive personality, respectively. Based on these findings, the study recommended adopting the proposed model as part of the professional development framework for heads of departments at Shaqra University, incorporating personal quality concepts into the criteria for the selection and evaluation of academic leaders, strengthening social responsibility values among heads of departments, and implementing targeted training programs to enhance teamwork and collaborative practices within academic departments.
