Enhancing maximum speed in short-distance running using a rubber shock absorber with optimal tension
Svetlana Sukhareva, Sergey PetukhovModern high-performance sport dictates the necessity of introducing new approaches to the use of training means aimed at increasing competitive results, including additional equipment. However, new conditions for the use of equipment impose increased requirements on the technical execution of the structure of the starting acceleration and running over the distance in short-distance running. The purpose of the study is to determine the optimal magnitude of shock absorber tension for increasing maximum speed in running during traction in the direction of the athlete's movement, taking into account the permissible change in running technique over the distance. When creating artificial conditions for increasing running speed, it is necessary to control the technique of the running stride in order to prevent the occurrence of errors and their consolidation into a skill. Research methods: review and systematization of literary data, pedagogical testing, video recording of running over the distance with subsequent analysis in the Kinovea program, a pedagogical experiment, and methods of mathematical statistics were used. Research results and conclusions. Exercises with rubber traction with individually selected tension for each athlete were included in the training process. The introduction of the exercises made it possible to increase maximum speed and achieve growth in competitive results in short-distance running.
