This study examines an improved tumor removal approach. Endoscopic tumor localization and resection may be imprecise, jeopardizing surgical outcomes and patient safety. Existing methods may induce incomplete resections or tissue harm due to tumor boundary visibility issues. Without real-time help, surgeons struggle to adapt to dynamic intraoperative changes, increasing complications.
Methods
The Augmented Reality-based Gastrointestinal Tumor Resection (AR-GTR) approach uses Augmented Reality (AR) with artificial intelligence (AI) to improve endoscopic surgery accuracy and efficacy. AR-GTR projects three-dimensional tumor pictures into the surgeon’s field of vision, enhancing tumor location and resection accuracy. The technology improves surgical methods and provides real-time prediction insights using AI-driven intraoperative data analysis.
Results
AR and AI provide more accurate tumor removal, faster surgical, and fewer problems. Initial AR-GTR assessments show that it may improve resection accuracy and patient safety increasing surgical results. AR and AI in endoscopic procedures promise to enhance gastrointestinal tumors therapy.
