Himanshu Pal, Atul Kumar Sharma, Saurabh DixitThe study proposes four key strategies to drive meaningful change: enhancing digital literacy and business skills, providing more accessible financial support through gender-specific financial products and startup initiatives, reforming policies to simplify regulations on nonmedical wellness activities, and fostering community engagement through cooperatives and support networks. By integrating real-world examples with theoretical perspectives, the chapter calls for collaboration across all sectors – government, businesses, and civil society – to address inequalities and harness the leadership potential of women in this field. The case of the Himalayan Homestay illustrates how small, rural enterprises can leverage technology to reach international audiences while generating local employment, preserving cultural traditions, and protecting the environment. This research views women-led wellness tourism as a strong force for positive change, where economic progress coexists with cultural preservation, gender equality, and community well-being.
