Electronic configurations of low-valent actinide bis(cyclopentadienyl) metallocenes

Low-valent actinide metallocenes divide the series into eight “normal” actinides with a regular filling pattern of 5f and 7s/6d _{z ²} orbitals and seven “abnormal” actinides that also occupy δ-symmetric 6d orbitals.
