Electrochemically driven tandem selenylation/annulation for the regioselective construction of 2,4,5-trisubstituted pyrimidines

An electrochemically driven three-component reaction of enaminones, amidines/guanidines, and diselenides for the regioselective synthesis of 5-selenylated 2,4-disubstituted pyrimidines under mild conditions is reported.
