Elastic mechanism of low-temperature stabilization of multidomain state in quasi-one-dimensional systems
E. V. KholopovA new mechanism of stabilization of the intermediate state with many domains along chains is proposed for quasi-one-dimensional materials with doubled period along the chains. The most important effect here is the condensation of domain walls due to their indirect interaction through the elastic surrounding medium.
