Efficient intermolecular packing of short-chain bay-alkyloxylated terrylenes enables high photodetectivity in solution-processed organic phototransistor devices

Two soluble terrylenes, TER-C2 and TER-C4, were synthesized and employed in OFET and OPT devices. TER-C2 achieved higher mobility compared to TER-C4, and high specific detectivity over 10 ¹² Jones, the highest among all terrylene derivatives.
