Efficient Base‐Promoted [3+2] Cycloaddition for the Assembly of Trifluoroethyl‐Containing Spirooxindole Triazolines

ABSTRACT

We have developed an efficient potassium carbonate‐promoted [3+2] cycloaddition between nitrile imines and N ‐(2,2,2‐trifluoroethyl)isatin ketimines, enabling the rapid construction of novel N ‐heterocycle‐fused spirooxindoles in excellent yields of up to 92% under mild reaction conditions. The resulting spirocyclic architectures seamlessly combine the pharmacologically relevant oxindole scaffold with a trifluoroethyl‐substituted 1,2,4‐triazoline motif, underscoring their potential as valuable lead structures for the development of bioactive heterocyclic pharmaceuticals.
