ABSTRACT

In complex marine environments, issues such as varying parasitic capacitance, coupling strength, and resonant parameters can easily cause detuning in wireless charging systems. The resulting reactive power may lead to a sharp drop in system efficiency. Therefore, improving the efficiency of underwater wireless power transfer (UWPT) systems has become a common concern among researchers worldwide. Current mainstream studies mostly focus on optimization from the perspective of power electronics control. In this paper, we conduct research from the magnetic circuit perspective and propose an efficiency optimization method for three‐phase UWPT systems based on a magnetic vector modulation scheme. First, a functional relationship between magnetic vectors and transmission efficiency is established. Then, based on the characteristics of magnetic induction intensity vectors, we reveal the influence of current vectors on the superposition of spatial rotating magnetic field vectors and clarify the regulation mechanism of excitation currents in segmented arc‐shaped transmitting coils on the uniformity of spatial rotation. Finally, a multi‐objective multiverse optimization algorithm is employed to optimize the magnetic vectors, thereby achieving overall system efficiency optimization. The proposed scheme enables high‐efficiency and stable output under time‐varying load and mutual inductance conditions without establishing a communication link between the transmitter and receiver.
