Effects of fluid flow and solute transport on anorthite dissolution rates in heterogeneous pore networks
A. Navarre-Sitchler, E. Heil, M. Malenda, R. Wood, J. Squier, B. GormanMineral dissolution becomes transport controlled in dead-end pores causing slower mineral dissolution rates with decreased pore connectivity. This phenomenon explains observations of unexplained slow rock weathering through time in field systems.
