Baric coefficients of frequency of high-temperature oscillations (HTO) and Shubnikov–de Haas oscillations are measured under true hydrostatic conditions. It is shown that the baric coefficients of extreme cross sections of the Fermi surfaces in bismuth in the pressure range from 0 to 0.14 kbar differ from the extrapolated data obtained in chambers with a fixed pressure. The effect of uniform compression on the HTO period is explained in terms of theoretical concepts according to which the HTO are associated with intervalley quasi-elastic scattering of charge carriers at the zone edges.
