Effect of hot-pressing temperature on the structure and physico-mechanical properties of kapok fiber nonwoven mats
M. A. M. Mohd Idrus, Md. Saiful Islam, Mohd Yuzri Mohd Yusop, Zulzamri SallehKapok fibres (KF) were carded and hot-pressed at 170 °C for 10 min to produce a nonwoven mat with a tensile strength of 50.76 MPa, demonstrating its potential as a core material for fibreglass boat structures.
