Early‐Onset Herpes Zoster in a 10‐Month‐Old Infant Following Nonvenomous Snake Exposure: A Rare Case Report
Seyedeh Mahla Hoseini, Maryam Saghafi, Fatemeh SaghafiABSTRACT
Herpes zoster can rarely occur in immunocompetent infants without prior varicella history. This case highlights the importance of considering herpes zoster in atypical dermatomal vesicular eruptions during infancy and suggests that physical stress or local trauma, including nonvenomous snake exposure, may act as a possible trigger for viral reactivation.
