Drivers of Ethical Consumption and Trust in Artworks by Disabled Artists

This research investigates the factors influencing the intention to purchase art products created by people with disabilities. Art is not simply a colorful drawing but an important form of expression and a means of affirming the artist’s identity and individuality. This study emphasizes the unique perspective that artists with disabilities want to bring to the community their own stories through their drawings. Despite barriers such as social stigma and limited market access that hinder the commercialization of these products. We use a mixed-methods approach, integrating the Veory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and Social Cognitive Veory (SCT) to explore the interaction of factors such as consumer attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, selfefficacy, outcome expectancy, and ethical consumption. Our research identifies key drivers of consumer trust and purchase intent, providing actionable insights for arts organisations and policy makers.
