Draft genome sequences for two mucin-degrading bacteria isolated in Alabama

Here, we describe the draft genome sequences of two mucin-degrading bacteria, Pseudomonas kurunegalensis strain chylan and Bacillus thuringiensis strain akera, isolated from The University of Alabama campus.
