Alicia Cabrera-Zagalaz, Carmen González-González de Mesa, Javier Cachón-Zagalaz, Mª Zagalaz-SánchezVocational training, which is currently on the rise, is practical teaching that prepares students for the performance of a profession. VET students have specific characteristics that make research necessary. The objective of this study was to validate and apply a questionnaire on the general attitude towards study (E-1) to a sample of 502 VET students and to determine the implications of personal and sociodemographic variables in motivations towards learning. A sample of 502 subjects receiving vocational training in seven Spanish Autonomous Communities given the questionnaire on general attitude towards study (E-1), considering the variables sex, evolutionary stage and some personal characteristics. The software used was Factor 12.03.02 and IBM SPS Statistics (V.27). The results indicate that not all the factors were maintained, reducing them to two and maintaining all the items. The general attitude towards study was not good. The attitude towards studies was not positive, showing some difference between groups: attitude was better in men than in women, in those who do not do extracurricular activities and dedicate themselves only to studying, and in those located in Castilla León and Northern Spain.
