Diversity and Seasonal Variation of Ants (Hymenoptera: Formicidae) from Various Localities of Hingoli, (M.S.)
M.P. WalalePresent study gives an account on ant species at Hingoli, along with their diversity. Total 33 species of ants belonging to 6 families and 21 genera were recorded. Under the family Formicidae 6 Species (18%), were recorded, while Myrmicinae was represented by 20 Species (61%), Two species (6%) were recorded from family Dolichoderinae and Pseudomyrmicinae was represented by 1 Species (3%), Ponerinae was represented by 3 Species (9 %) while Vaspodae by a single (3%).species Myrmicinae Group was dominant, found in almost all; locations. Maximum diversity was observed during the monsoon season, followed by summer and the least diversity was reported during winter.
