Abstract

The pharmacological development of bioactive dihydrophenanthrenes is severely constrained by their scarcity in endangered plants. Herein, we report a scalable Pd-catalyzed cross-coupling strategy for the divergent total synthesis of eight dihydrophenanthrene natural products. This approach efficiently constructs unsymmetrical biaryl scaffolds, overcoming the symmetry constraints of prior methods, and establishes a practical platform for securing chemical access to valuable Orchidaceae and Juncaceae components.
