DIGITAL TWINS OF MINING SYSTEMS FOR EMERGENCIES PREVENTION
Kirill Romanevich, Liliana Dolmatova, Valery YakheevThe paper presents a concept for emergency prevention in underground mining based on a dynamic digital twin of a geotechnical system. The digital twin is developed through the integration of mine seismic monitoring data with a three-dimensional finite element model of the rock mass stress-strain state and is implemented as a unified computational framework with quasi-continuous parameter updating. Information on the coordinates and energy characteristics of microseismic events is used for sequential correction of the numerical model, including the formation of local weakening zones and stress redistribution accounting for mining progress. This approach enables prompt identification of stress concentration areas and potentially hazardous geomechanical conditions. The proposed methodology is aimed at developing a predictive and analytical decision-support tool for geodynamic risk management in coal mines, ore mines, and underground engineering structures during construction and operation. Examples of developed geotechnical system models are presented, and further research directions are outlined.
