Digital Transformation of Manufacturing Enterprise Management: Challenges and Prospects

Ivan Romanov

This article presents a comprehensive study of current challenges and strategic prospects for the digital transformation of management systems in manufacturing organizations in the Russian Federation. The author argues that transformation represents a qualitative change in business processes, rather than mere automation. Based on an analysis of corporate practices, critical barriers have been identified: high financial costs, a shortage of qualified personnel, and staff resistance to change. Particular attention is paid to success factors, among which a strategic approach and management support stand out, enabling a 30¬40% reduction in decision-making time. As a result of the study, practical recommendations were formulated for the phased implementation of technologies and the development of digital competencies. This work is of significant interest to managers seeking to improve management efficiency in the context of the global digitalization of the economy.
