Digital reading: the evolution of the definition and approaches to interpretation in the field of teaching foreign languages

This article is dedicated to the evolution of the digital reading concept. Being a part of the digital literacy phenomenon, the research on digital reading has been active for the past 25 years. The article also showcases a chronological analysis of the digital reading concept, as well as a contrastive analysis of the definition of digital reading. In the result of that, a new systematised definition was introduced.
