Digital Literacy in Professional Responsibility of Pre-Service Teachers

Grigory Lopatkin, Karina Diveeva, Danila Diveev

Digital competence is integrated in the professional responsibility of contemporary teachers and educators. The article examines the correlation between the digital literacy level and the professional readiness in students majoring in pedagogy. The experiment involved 179 students of the Institute of Education at Kemerovo State University. The methods included N. V. Buzhinskaya’s assessment methodology (as modified by V. I. Andreev), A. A. Rean’s modification of K. Zamfir’s methodology, the Digital Literacy Index, a custom questionnaire, and a phishing resistance test. As the traditional frameworks of professional responsibility evolve due to academic digitalization, the concept of professional responsibility is being redefined. Its analysis highlights the need to substantiate the relationship and interdependence of responsibility and motivation as personal characteristics in the digital academic environment. The article introduces empirical evidence for the correlation between the digital literacy indicators and the professional responsibility in pre-service teachers.
