Betta splendens (Regan, 1910) is commonly known as fighting fish, Male fishes often build and maintain bubble nests on the water's surface which shelter growing embryos., Present study was undertaken to find out feeding resources which influence energy budgeting in this fish. Betta fish with three feeding frequencies T1 (four times/day), T2 (three times/day) and T3 (two times/day) were maintained., Higher feeding frequency (T1) greatly increased embryonic and larval survival. bubble density, nest thickness, and early larval survival. All of them were positively and significantly correlated (p < 0.05) indicating that improved nest architecture leads to better development..
